frequently Asked Questions

This page is here to answer some questions that many of our guests have had in the past, so we thought we would make it easier for you to get answers, with a page devoted to your questions! If anything you are curious about is not on here please feel free to email us in the contact form

Do you have any gluten free items on your menu?
Lots! We have gluten free bread and pasta and most of Chef Will’s sauces and dressings are gluten free. Just ask us when you come in and we can try our best to adjust your dish and make it as safe as possible for you!
What do I do if I have an allergy?
Any allergies should be discussed with your server and we can try to do our best ensure that your allergy is dealt with safely. Some items cannot be guaranteed depending on the severity as we can never guarantee cross contamination of certain allergens has not taken place in a working kitchen
Who do I speak to about having a group event at Stillwaters?
That wonderful person would be our General Manager, Michael Spencer. His email is stillwaters.michael@gmail.com
Do you do outside catering?
Absolutely! We have catered events of all forms from 20 people to 300 people. If you fill out our contact form on this website with the information of the event, someone will get back you within a couple of days!
Is Stillwaters wheelchair accessible?
Yes, it is. The only exception is the rooftop patio which does require climbing stairs.
Why can’t I make reservations on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer?
During peak season we do not take reservations on these days to keep wait times for tables to a minimum. Although there may still be a wait to get a table during peak times it is DRASTICALLY reduced since we have stopped taking reservations on Fridays and Saturdays in patio season
When does the rooftop patio open and close?
The rooftop patio usually opens around the middle of May and closes at the beginning of October. It is open every day of the week and has the same hours as the main restaurant. The only time the rooftop is closed is if it is actively raining or a dangerous storm is a good possibility. We don’t want to be caught off guard and compromise anyone’s safety! The lower patio is always open even if the rooftop is closed

Does the rooftop patio have the same menu as the main restaurant?
Yes it does!

Why can’t I make reservations on the patios?
During the summer months we are in our peak season and the restaurant fills up very quickly. If you had a reservation for the patio and the weather turned bad on us, and the restaurant was full we would have nowhere for you to sit. Between the main patio and the rooftop patio there is over 100 seats, so trying to find alternate seating for reservations made outside when the restaurant is full would be very difficult if weather turned bad – and most certainly ruin your experience. All reservations during patio season (Sunday-Thursday only) are made inside to ensure you have a spot regardless of weather.

I would like to reserve a seat overlooking the water is that possible?
We will certainly do our best! We can never guarantee it will be overlooking the water as we can have dozens of water view requests per night with only a hand full of tables that actually have a water view. Most seats have a view of the trees etc that line the grand river but we can never guarantee a window seat, even though we will try our hardest!
Can I buy a gift certificate online?
We are working on a new system that will allow for online purchase of gift cards. For now, we sell them at the restaurant only. Our gift cards are for any denomination you wish!
I heard the owners Matt and Will are really handsome is that true?
Wait…….What?…..
